With the announcement of the Canon EOS M2 just the other day in Japan, which will most likely not be available outside of Asia from Canon, there has been some talk discussion on what are the differences between the Canon EOS M2 and the Canon EOS M.

Auto focus Improvements
The Canon EOS M2 features a hybrid CMOS II a similar sensor is found in the Canon EOS 100D SL1 which is said to decrease the time for autofocus by up to 2.3X.

Built-in Wi-Fi Adapter
Clearly missing from the original EOS M the M2 features a built-in Wi-Fi adaptor which allows for the remote transfer of images and remote control of the camera from a smart phone or PC using the EOS remote App.
The Canon EOS M2 is about 8% smaller with physical dimensions of 104.9mm X 65.2mm X 31.6mm and weighing in at 274g (body only)
Continuous Shooting Speed
The maximum Continuous Shooting Speed of the Canon EOS M2 is slightly higher than the original model with a maximum Continuous Shooting Speed of 4.6 fps compared to the 4.3 fps of its predecessor.
