Canon Japan today officially announced the Canon EOS M2, which is the companies’ second generation mirrorless camera. But the big news with this release is that it will only be released in Asia.
The highlight feature which sets itself aside from its predecessor is a much faster autofocus system because of the use of a hybrid CMOS II a similar sensor is found in the Canon EOS 100D SL1. The M2 also sports a built Wi-Fi which allows picture transfer and control to/via smart phones and PCs.
The Canon EOS M2 will be available in black or white and will be sold as body only or 1,2 or 3 lens kits and should be available this month (December 2013)
Recommended retail pricing in Yen will start from 64,800 yen for the body only kit up to 134,800 yen for the full body 3 lens speedlight and EF mount adaptor kit.
